He had faked a marriage to some poor girl, wiped her out financially buying the house now making him as famous as he's gonna be, and the defamed her publicly. She went and poured weedkiller on a rose=garden she no longer owned, but for which she was financially liable. If you read her account it's quite sincere and very tragic. He seems like a not-nice, self-serving guy.
